This mug has been fired in a wood fueled kiln which can give the surface unique qualities not found in other methods of firing.  

This piece is a part of my on going Beautiful Mundane series in which I record textures on to the surface of the clay that represent my life at home with my children. For this one, my son's toy monster truck tires, as well as a play-doh rolling tool were used to create the texture that surrounds the pot.
